Sigur Ros during the Heima tour, playing in Seydisfjordur, the town where Matt and I are going to hike to then hang out for a few days depending on how many detours we take getting there.
We’ve decided to spend the entire trip backpacking in one little corner of the island, the far north east which looks devastatingly beautiful and completely isolated. I am so excited words cannot explain :)

Matt and I booked tickets to spend two weeks in Iceland!! We’ve been talking about it for months, and last night we just did it!! The nature of this semester has been all about the ifs… Where will I be accepted, and will Matt have to change jobs, will I get funding and what does that mean for logistics for next year? Should we plan a big trip during the two weeks free between the end of my internship and classes starting, or will we be moving across the country?
So anyways, as all the ifs start to fall into place… It feels so good just to move forward and make things happen :)
And I have wanted to go to Iceland ever since I saw Heima, the Sigur Ros dvd. I can’t wait to backpack through these crazy landscapes… It’s going to be amazing!!!

Cocoa is a 3-year-old Alpine Pygmy mixed goat who lives with its owner Fakroddin in Summit, New Jersey. They frequently take trips into Manhattan to enjoy the city. Back from Southern Colorado.. it was a great trip and I learned SO MUCH about this amazing state. It’s good to get out of Boulder and get to places with entirely different perspectives.
AND MATT COMES HOME TOMORROW!! Between spring break, thesis defense, my mom being in town and a big system installation he’s been doing at work we have hardly spent any time together in the past month. So I CAN’T WAIT to spend a day just being with him <3333
